Rock-it ship IBM to Philadelphia, USA & Madrid,
Spain
In early 2000 Rock-it Cargo London were selected above other airfreight
companies by the leading UK corporate production house PCI Live
Design to handle all shipping, transport logistics and on-site
handling for ‘Planet Tivoli’, an annual conference and
exhibition organised by Tivoli Corporation, a software division
of IBM.
Tussauds
Specialist jobs require specialist knowledge,
good timing and the right contacts. Rock-it Cargo were asked by
Tussauds of London to export waxworks into Las Vegas and New York,
this required refrigerated containers and a lot of care and attention.
By air to Los Angeles needed a carrier with
experience and a temperature controlled warehouse, Virgin airlines
were more than up to the task. Up to 30 containers were used to
fly the waxworks over the Atlantic, this had to coincide with
an evening arrival to ensure temperatures were suitable for offloading.
An overnight journey to Las Vegas in refrigerated trucks completed
the job.
