Rock-it transport U2 to War-torn
territory in Sarajevo
U2 had made a pledge during their ZOOROPA TOUR several years earlier,
that they would give a concert to raise awareness of the horrors
and conditions under which the people of Sarajevo were living.
The only “window” available in their POPMART world tour
schedule was between shows in Italy, and Greece (a 2 day slot)...
and Rock-it Cargo provided the total logistics solution.
Michael Jackson Tour 1996
The Michael Jackson "History" world tour of 1996 was
a groundbreaking event for Rock-it Cargo UK. Working to support
colleagues from Rock-it Cargo USA, we co-ordinated the shipping
of approximately 300,000 kilos of tour equipment around the world
using three large Antonov AN124 cargo aircraft.
EGAT Rotor
On behalf of their customer, the Energy Generating Authority of
Thailand (EGAT), our Bangkok agent was able to appoint Rock-it
Cargo UK to handle the collection and shipment of a rotor for
a gas turbine generator from GE Energy in the UK to U-Tapao airport
in Thailand, a total load weight of over 108,000 kilos. This shipment
involved the charter of the massive Antonov 124 cargo plane.
Phil Collins - 60,000 kilos of charter
Rock-it Cargo provided a charter solution
for 60,000-kilos of production equipment for Phil Collins during
his tour of the Far East. Specialist experience and knowledge
was the key to success. This shipment required a member of Rock-it
Cargo to be present during customs inspections, to supervise loading
to transporters and organise shipping after clearance - all 60,000
kilos at each location!
