Computer Associates
An unusual location required careful planning when Computer Associates
planned their sales team awards at the base of the Pyramids in
Cairo, Egypt. This large event required safe transport and delivery
of sound, stage and lighting equipment. Before arranging the contract
a team from Rock-it Cargo UK went onsite to check truck access
and delivery handling with the production team. This also included
a visit to customs and the tourist ministry to acquire the correct
import documents.
Detroit Motor Show
Most car shows/exhibitions have approved forwarders that
are recommended to exhibitors by the organisers. Equally, most
major motor manufacturers are inclined to use the services of
some of the largest freight forwarders in the world.
However, evey now and then along comes "that
special job". One such case was a brand new version of a
current model for a leading manufacturer. We were asked to ship
this exhibition version - a modified road car (roofless), to the
Detroit Motor Show. The client knew how vital it was for this
item to arrive safe and sound, as it was their reputation at stake.
They did not want to use anybody else because they trust both
our judgement and service.
